Privacy Policy

Account information: when you sign up, we collect your email address and a password (handled by our authentication provider, Firebase Authentication — we never see or store your password in plain text).

Board and content data: board names, team rosters, item names, and any images, logos, hit sounds, or background images you upload to customize a board.

Buyer/viewer information you choose to upload: if you import a CSV of sales after a break, that file may contain names (and whatever else your export includes) belonging to your own customers or viewers, not you. See "Information about your buyers and viewers" below for how that's handled.

Payment information: if you subscribe, payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status and plan details from Stripe, but we do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles that directly.

Whatnot Sync token: if you enable the optional Whatnot Sync browser extension (an experimental prototype, described further in our Terms of Service), we generate a per-board access token so the extension can report sales back to your board.

Usage and log data: standard technical data our hosting and database providers collect automatically (timestamps, request metadata) to operate and secure the service.

• To process payments and manage your subscription, through Stripe
• To provide the features you use — claiming/hit tracking, animations, overlays, CSV import, the checklist library, and (if enabled) Whatnot Sync
• To send account-related communications, like password resets
• To maintain the security and reliability of the service

We do not sell your information, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies — BreakPanel doesn't run any analytics or ad-tracking scripts today.

A CSV import or the Whatnot Sync extension can bring in names (and similar details) belonging to people you sold to — not to us, and not necessarily people who have any relationship with BreakPanel directly. You're responsible for having the right to use and upload that information, the same way you'd already need that right to run the break itself.

We store that data as part of your board (so it can power the sold-list reveal on your overlay) and treat it with the same protections as the rest of your account data. If a buyer or viewer asks you to remove their information, you can do so from your board's item list, or by resetting the board's roster.

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run BreakPanel, rather than building everything ourselves:

• Firebase / Google Cloud (Authentication, Firestore database, and file storage for uploaded images/sounds)
• Stripe (subscription billing and payment processing)

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms, and may store or process data on servers outside your country. We don't share your data with anyone beyond what's needed to run the service through these providers.

We keep your account and board data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and all associated boards deleted, contact us and we'll remove them — deleting an account cascades to delete every board owned by it, including uploaded images, sounds, and any buyer/viewer data stored on those boards.

We use browser storage only for functional purposes — primarily to keep you signed in between visits (handled by Firebase Authentication) and to remember basic UI preferences. We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

We rely on our infrastructure providers' security practices (encryption in transit, access-controlled databases) and restrict admin-level access within BreakPanel to a small number of trusted accounts. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

BreakPanel is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.

You can review and edit most of your data directly in the app — your account details on the Account page, and your board content in Customize. You can delete individual items, reset a board's roster, or request full account deletion at any time.

We may update this policy as BreakPanel changes. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; significant changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
